A baroque palace, a vintage car, vows as a voice-over, the first look under old plane trees and a party deep into the night. Filmed in a single day.
What couples say after the film.
Three weddings, three reviews.
Choosing RaphaelcyrillFilms was the right decision.Raphi went out of his way to bring our wishes to life. On our wedding day we could completely relax (as far as that goes ;)). The result is a beautiful, heartfelt and creative wedding film that will always remind us of our day. Thank you so much!!

From the very beginning we felt Raphi's ambition to make our wedding film a truly high-quality piece. He took a lot of time for the preparation and noted down our wishes, so we could look forward to the wedding completely relaxed. On the day itself we felt very comfortable with him. His natural, upbeat way let us simply be ourselves. We are thrilled with the film: edited with great attention to detail and set to wonderful music that takes us right back to our emotional day. Thank you, we are happy!

Raphael was perfectly prepared and captured every important moment beautifully.Even though it was a very large venue, he was in the right place at every moment. His professionalism and commitment impressed us deeply.

Swiss filmmaker. At home all over the world.
Filmmaking has been my passion for six years and my profession for almost five, with my own video production company.
Nine months a year I am on the road: in the mountains, by the sea, in cities I had never seen before. That life shapes the way I see light, places and people. And it brings along stories that are welcome at any wedding table.
Over time I grew into the entrepreneurial side of my company and handed more and more of the filming to my team. That is when I noticed what I missed most: filming weddings myself. So I am back behind the camera for a few selected weddings a year. Out of passion, not for business reasons.
I know many filmmakers who shoot weekend after weekend and have lost the joy along the way. That is exactly what I refuse to do. I choose my couples deliberately, so every wedding gets the full devotion it deserves.
This is what your wedding film could look like. You decide how your film will be.
Press play, turn up the sound and take a moment. Every one of these films is different, because every couple is different.

No off-the-shelf package. A film that belongs to you alone.
First-class service, to me, means this: you decide, I take care of everything else. Every project is created individually around your wishes, from the first message to the final scene.

First conversation
We get to know each other, over a video call or a coffee. You tell me about your day, I listen and tell you honestly whether I am the right person for you.
Your Film Briefing
You receive your personal Film Briefing: a document where you capture music, style, colours, the people who matter to you and the moments that must not be missed. From this grows the plan for your film, before the camera ever rolls.
The wedding day
The whole day, from getting ready to the party. Close, never in the way. Depending on the project, with a second cinematographer with many years of experience, a drone and wireless microphones for your vows and speeches.
Edit and finishing
Chronological or dramatic, with voice-over or without, seven minutes or twenty: you set the direction, I bring it to life. With a feedback round, until every scene feels right.
Swiss roots. At home wherever your wedding is.
Nine months a year on the road: travelling is my everyday life, not an effort.

Moments, exactly as they happened.
Stills taken straight from the films. No posing, no staging.

What couples ask me most.
What does Raphael Cyrill Films do?
Raphael Cyrill Films is the wedding film studio of Swiss filmmaker Raphael Cyrill. He covers only a few selected weddings per year in Switzerland, across Europe and worldwide and turns them into cinematic wedding films that feel like a film, not a documentary.
Where does Raphael Cyrill film weddings?
Wherever you say I do. Raphael is Swiss but spends nine months a year on the road, filming weddings in Switzerland, in the Alps, on the Mediterranean and worldwide. Destination weddings and elopements are expressly welcome; travelling is part of his everyday life.
What do we receive in the end?
We discuss that individually, because every film is different. The basis is always full-day coverage, from getting ready to the party. Whether that becomes a seven-minute or a twenty-minute film, told chronologically or dramatically, with the full ceremony, a social media trailer or drone footage: you decide in your Film Briefing, I bring it to life.
Will our vows and speeches be heard in the film?
Exactly as you wish. I highly recommend it: I record vows, ceremony and speeches with my own wireless microphones in the best quality and weave your real voices into the film. Those original sounds are what make a wedding film so emotional years later. If you prefer not to, you get a film that lives entirely on images and music.
Does Raphael work alone?
No. Depending on the project and availability, a second cinematographer with many years of experience joins the day. That is how we capture perspectives a single camera cannot: the groom's eyes and the bride's face in the very same moment.
How does working together look?
In four steps: a first conversation, your personal Film Briefing, the wedding day and the edit with a feedback round. You have a say at every step, I take care of everything else.
How many weddings does Raphael film per year?
Deliberately only a few. That way every wedding receives full preparation, energy and devotion in the edit. Enquiring early pays off; popular summer dates are often booked months in advance.
What is the difference between a cinematic wedding film and a wedding video?
A wedding video documents the schedule. A cinematic wedding film tells your day like a film: with dramaturgy, music that fits you, light, colour grading, drone imagery and your real voices. The result is not something you watch once, but again and again.
How early should we enquire?
Ideally right after your venue is confirmed, six to twelve months before the wedding. Short-notice requests are still welcome if the date is free. The quickest way: book a 15-minute first conversation online or send a WhatsApp message.
How much does a wedding film by Raphael Cyrill Films cost?
Raphael Cyrill Films works in the luxury segment and always covers the full day. Every proposal is put together individually, depending on location, scope, a second cinematographer and the wishes from your Film Briefing. You receive a concrete proposal after a no-obligation first conversation.
Which languages does Raphael work in?
English and German (including Swiss German). International couples and bilingual weddings are no problem at all.
Only a few couples. Every year.
To do justice to every wedding, I deliberately take on only a few per year. If your date is still free, it is yours. Book 15 minutes in my calendar and let's get to know each other.
